"I Choose Joy" is the first book I have written. We'll just have to wait and see if there will be any others!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Bill, since 1971. We have two children, Jason, who has lived in Heaven since 1995, and Deborah, the mother of our four beautiful and extremely smart and talented grandsons.
I enjoy babysitting the boys anytime I am able, gardening, genealogy, bowling, quilting and other crafts, reading, and visiting with friends.
The day after Thanksgiving, 2015 my mother got very sick and had to spend almost two months in the hospital and rehabilitation. When she was released, she was too weak to live on her own any longer. So since January, 2016 she has been living with me and my wonderfully compassionate husband. She is doing much better now, but she is still my primary focus these days.
Since writing and publishing my book, "I Choose Joy," I have enjoyed sharing with others how God gave me strength by focusing on Him and relying on the joy that only He can bring through knowing Him. That joy is what sustained me through my son's death, and it continues to comfort me as I miss him every day.
